Service Connections Limited Testimonials
Service Connections was selected to oversee the provision of electricity, gas, water and telecommunications – including fibre optics – at the Navigation Point development in Castleford.
Situated at the junction of the rivers Aire and Calder, near the centre of the town, the development comprises 279 riverside houses and flats.
This is a complex six-year project, which may eventually grow to become up to 1,200 properties with a civic square, play areas, an eco park, boat moorings, fishing pegs, shops and a bar/restaurant.
John Gladwyn, Project Director for the Developer, Greenhaven Homes, says: “Service Connections Limited has a refreshing style of managing a sector which is not renowned for its proactive approach to delivery. Keith guided us through the utilities procurement process, saving us time and money.”
McInerney Holdings ceased trading in April 2011, with KPMG appointed as the administrator.
The UK house building arm of the company – McInerney Homes - had private and social housing developments across the UK.
In January 2012 Service Connections was briefed to investigate unclaimed utility payments for 22 discontinued sites. A large number of unpaid infrastructure charges were quickly identified before the detailed property by property search for uncollected connection fees was undertaken.
Within six months £150,000 had been recovered and at least as much again had been identified for recovery.
